I haven't used it yet, but I think this paddle will be perfect for doing a figure eight side ferry and for C stroking. I prefer C stroking to J stroking. This paddle seems to be the best value on an otter tail style paddle available online, and looks great.

The paddle is beautiful. It’s lightweight and paddles easily and efficiently. I’ve only taken it out once but can’t wait for the next trip!
